I attended the Florida reunion with excitement, anticipation and wonder - I wonder if anyone will remember me! I mean it had been since 1968 since I have seen everyone (except for Lanie, Stacey and Ellen). And I was only 11 at the time! When my husband and I arrived at the restaurant, I saw Ellen at the bar (striking up conversation with two cute and young Canadians - go girl!). Ah, a familiar face! We kept looking at the faces in the crowd, wondering if they were old Shoshana friends that we didn't recognize and watched the door for new arrivals. Before you knew it, along came my Janie, Phyllis, Lanie and Margie - links to the 1968 Senior Girls group. And in a nano-second their girlish faces I remembered flashed back to me and suddenly 36 years didn't seem too long ago. And Stacey and I hugged a lot. I had seen her a few years after I left Shoshana at Orchard Lake where my best friend Debbie lived. Then I run into her in Delray Beach having lunch the next afternoon-small world! It was so great to see everyone! Then along came Fred, Wayne, Jyll and Glenn. Although I didn't really know you the one year we shared at camp, I felt like I was part of the family. I know my husband had a great time-especially sharing the Chianti with Ellen (we still have more left Ellen if you want to come by!). The Pope's table and room was definitely a conversation piece but the lazy Susan came in handy while whirling around all the great food and desserts Wayne ordered. You did a great job Wayne! Since it was Valentine's Day, I wanted to dress appropriately and the only red top in my closet had belonged to my cousin Caryn Heyman - so she was there in spirit as she watched from above! Thank to all of you for the wonderful memories.

The night was February 14, 2004. The place was Buca di Beppo in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The people at 'The Pope's Table' all shared something in common. None of them knew how to take a clear photo (just kidding). Above you see the first photos from the gathering in Florida.
